Players strike ended, the Spanish League in starts

Madrid - Spanish League 2011/2012 season will likely begin this weekend. Parties to the players association (AFE) will end the strike after reaching an agreement with the manager league (LFP).

The agreement was reached today after the league to ensure payment of salary debts of more than 200 players worth 72 million dollars. Parties leagues also allow the player whose salary is not paid for three months to decide a contract with the club.

"We have reached an agreement which we believe to be really satisfying," explained chairman of AFE, Luis Rubiales, cited Yahoosports.

"The strike has been discontinued by the players association. This is the business of both parties, both parties already give a reason and I am very happy that eventually the ball will be played," said President of LFP, Jose Luis Astiazaran.

With this agreement, then match the second week of Spanish League 2011/2012 season could be held this weekend. Primera Division will kick-off on Saturday (08/27/2011) which will meet Sporting Gijon Real Sociedad and Real Madrid face Real Zaragoza.
