Stoke City in 'last bid' for Spurs duo Crouch & Palacios

striker Peter Crouch and midfielder Wilson Palacios.

Stoke City have made a final offer to Tottenham for striker Peter Crouch and midfielder Wilson Palacios.
The Potters have been in talks with Spurs for several weeks.
Chairman Peter Coates told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've made our last bid, the ball is in their court. We shall not be negotiating from where we are.
"The last conversation I had with Spurs, we had not agreed anything. We'll see what happens, but we haven't got any further."
Crouch, 30, began his career at Spurs as a trainee and returned to the club in 2009 following spells with sides including Portsmouth, Norwich, Southampton and Liverpool.
Despite an impressive England record of 22 goals in 42 appearances, he has managed just 12 goals in his 72 Premier League starts for Harry Redknapp's side since his £9m arrival at White Hart Lane.
Midfielder Palacios arrived at Spurs in 2009 for £12m from Wigan, after a spell at Birmingham.
The 27-year-old Honduras international made 22 starts for Spurs last season and featured for his country at the World Cup in South Africa, playing three times.
